Has anyone tried hydroxycut or any type of fat burners before? I am an average size 5'6 & 140lbs & try to work out 2-3 times a week, but I don't see me much difference in my weight. It's always up & down 5lbs, & thats it. I think i'm pretty propotional, but I have a set of love handles on me & a lil tummy that won't go away! I'm kind of wanting to try a quick fix, or cheat if it actually works. Any suggs?

I'm not real big on Hydroxycut or any other product that combines caffeine and bitter orange (similar to ephedra) to stimulate your metabolism...simply is not good for your heart...

Green tea might be good, but you have to drink two cups or more to start seeing any benefit...If I truly thought I could lose weight by drinking green tea though, I'd guzzle gallons daily...

There's no real quick fix...just eat a balance, moderate diet, and maybe up your excercise a bit...4-5 days per week will help you drop lbs...

I'm really big on the exercise portion of the equation...it really works for me, but I realize not everyone loves it like I do...

Good luck, keep us posted!

I've heard some really good things about SlimQuick...Not too much stimulation, just enough.

Good luck!

I'm with Caramish! Stay away from that stuff! Even if it is a quick fix, it'll all come back, and usually with interest unfortunately....

Upping your cardio to 45+ minutes 4-5 days a week will do wonders for getting rid of the extra padding! Then you can usually back off a little for maintenance once you get to where you want to be.

Good luck! \:\)

I have personal experience here!! I've taken that stuff and it makes me jittery. You will have some energy, but you'd better be near a couch when it wears off, because you will seriously crash!! To me the crash is not worth the small burst of energy and nervousness.

I have also tried prescription meds. I should be a size 4, but I am quickly pushing a size 12 (petite!!). Deep inside me is a skinny chic. Anyway, I begged my doctor for Fastin (or Adipep or Adipex...can't remember the brand names .... but the generic drug is phentermine). Doc told me no. He said I'd lose 20 pounds the first month, but that I'd gain it back plus some if I quit taking it.

He did prescribe me Meridia (think that is the correct spelling). Anyway, the Meridia was a miracle drug...energy...no hunger...though expensive at 80 a month (not covered by insurance).

Unfortunately, I only took it for one month because I also take an antidepressant. You can't take both together because they both affect the same area of the brain. I had to go off the antidepressant (Celexa) in order to take the Meridia...and I turned into one major Be-otch. My husband threw the Meridia out and sent me back to the doctor for my Celexa.

The doctor said you can take Meridia month after month....but the phentermine you can only take a month or two at a time, then you have to take a break from it. A teacher I work with ordered her phentermine online = but I don't know how safe that is. You are supposed to have your heart rate monitored regularly, plus the companny sent her 3 months of it, and my doc had said you can only take for one month at a time.... She has lost about 30 pounds in about a year, though!!!

I know I'm rambling. Sorry. I guess I feel safer with Meridia, but maybe that has been in the news, too?? He prescribed it to me with Xenical (now known as Allie or Ally or something, and I did not have the side effects!!!)

I meant to also say.... I think the meds are all quick fixes that won't give lasting, safe results like diet & exercise. \:\(

I've read some reviews of Hydroxycut and apparently it doesn't work that well for females? Not too sure why. One of my friends tried it and it didn't work for her.

Some of my girlfriends tired a drug called Reductil. Apparently works quite well but the side effects can be a drag (insomnia seems predominant).

Hey, Reductil is called Meridia in the US!

I'd say exercise again. If you're new, try doing some weights first to build strength. It will help ease you into cardio exercises because you do feel much stronger.

Hi! I've tried many (Hydroxycut, Fahrenheit, Trimspa, SmartBurn, etc.) and I never had any noticeale results...

Until i started taking Venom.

I have lost about 18-20 lbs in about 3 months! And, I havent really changed my eating habits and I work full time (8-3) and go to school at night (3:30-10pm) so I never have time to work out anymore and I have seen amazing results! I am hardly ever hungry and a few small meals a day works great for me. Plus, I get to eat my not so small bowl of cocoa pebbles every morning lol. Also, its about $40 a bottle, but there is a 3 month supply in one bottle. You only have to take 1 pill a day after breakfast but you can take one after lunch if you want, not like some others where you have to take 4-6 a day 30 mins before you eat - that was real hard for me because i have such a crazy schedule, i never knew when i was going to eat! lol but i love this stuff!! it works for me!! let me know what you think

I'll research the SlimQuick and Venom...I've just seen too many folks in the er with heart palpitations, cardiac arrest, or stroke from stimulant use so I'm really extra cautious

Or, even if you don't end up in the er, you may "shred" your mitral valve and need open heart surgery and then have to take blood thinners the rest of your life...

Sorry for the doom and gloom...it's 3:27am and definitely time to go back to bed...

Has anyone tried the new Alli system? Seems pricey, but it is the only one with FDA approval as an over the counter weightloss supplement.
