He could be snipped - much less invasive procedure than tubes being tied. For what it's worth, a friend of mine got pregnant after having her tubes tied. Really!! And my sister got pregnant twice on the pill.
I can't help much otherwise - I never used protection with my ex (for eight years) and never could get pregnant, then had a crazy miracle after giving up and now have a riotous 17-month-old with my fabulous guy...we use condoms. Anyhoo, I just had to jump in 'coz it kinda chaps my hide that the woman's the one who has to take hormones and get all messed up or have surgery when the guy's just as responsible...yanno? (on a TOTALLY unrelated note but just about the male ego...I was talking with a young colleague recently about fertility struggles and I asked if her husband had had a sperm count/motility test done. She pulled a face and said "Oh, he would think I was trying to hurt him if I asked him to do that." AHHHHH!!!!)
