Question about Stuller Setting

Steve, can you modify a Stuller setting or is it easier to go custom?
I like this setting for a garnet I just bought, but I want a split shank, and from these pictures, I *think* it is one solid piece on the sides. (and please tell me they just did a crappy job mounting/photoshopping that stone and it isn't supposed to be crooked like that)
And my garnet... It's 9.50 x 6.77

I'm not even sure I pronounce it correctly, so it's a good thing I can type it. And, even the spelling I have to double check.

It looks like a split shank. But it's not split very far..
Since your garnet is sort of a funky cut, which I love, it's going to take actually measuring the angles to make sure that it would fit in that style ring if you go with a stock Stuller setting..
And I just looked up the ring and it's a "made to order" thing, so there are no refunds on it and it can take a couple weeks to get..

Hmmm, ok. He's supposed to send it out today, so I'll send it off to you (when I'm done playing with it) and you can see if the Stuller will work or if we need to do something else/custom. If you have time for me....
