Steve's team of creative designers did it again! I'd never have thought anyone could take a pair of copper coated lead bullets and make a striking pair of cuff links out of them. Take a look at the photos and see what I mean. \:\)

This is Steve's photo, of course.

Mine's a little blurry, sorry.

very cool! What, (if you don't mind sharing), is the meaning behind the bullets?

Well, the story behind them is a cautionary one. My DH is normally a cautious, safety minded person, but this one time he took the obvious at face value. We are a target shooting family and he reloads ammunition for our hobby. He and my son were at the range, trying out some rounds he had loaded with his newest reloading set-up.
The rifle my son was shooting kept having problems ejecting the spent case after a round was fired. This time, he handed it to my DH to check over. DH removed the spent case, chambered the next round, sighted on the target and pulled the trigger.
The rifle blew up.
On investigation, he found out that the previous round was seriously underpowered and the bullet lodged in the barrel of the rifle. When he fired the next round, the bullet rammed into the previous one in the barrel, causing all the force generated to exit the sides and back of the chamber.
DH failed to follow the most important rule of gun safety, always, ALWAYS check a gun to be sure it is unloaded when you pick it up or take it from someone. If he had checked the rifle carefully and looked in the bore, he would have seen it was blocked.
Those two bullets are the one that blocked the barrel and the second one he fired into it. I had Steve and his team make the cuff links as a reminder to never, EVER, do something so idiotic again.

Thanks. The white metal is sterling silver. Steve thought, and I agreed, that it would wear best and compliment the copper. \:\)

He knew I was having them made and he got them last week. He loved how well they were made and pleased with the look of them. And, yes, he very well understands what they mean.
I've had him around for over 28 yrs and I intend to keep him for a lot longer!
