Rules for the giveaway…..please read this ALL of the way through carefully before you play. It is REALLY simple, but it can be confusing.
1. You will need to pick a number between one and one hundred (not zero). Once you post a number and pick a prize, you can’t change your mind.
2. You need to have been a member of the BTD board prior to 08/01/08 OR you will need to have posted at least 15 posts prior to 8/16/08… ie, you could have been a seldom poster if you registered prior to 8/1 or you could have registered after 8/1/08 as long as you posted at least 15 times before the 16th. This is so no one registers or starts posting just to play.
3. Please don’t post your number or your choice of prizes before 12:01AM PST on Tuesday 8/19/08 or it will be void. I will try to keep track of the numbers as we go along, but if you choose a number that someone else has already chosen, you will have to choose a different one. The giveaway will end at Midnight on Monday, August 25th to give everyone a chance to play. I will announce the winner on Tuesday the 26th.
4. I have already emailed myself the winning number in case someone wants proof that I didn’t “pick” a winner.
5. There is no prize advantage to picking your number early….. several people can choose the same prize, as there is only one winning number….but if you have a number that you really want, then the sooner you post it, the better.
6. Please look through ALL of the prizes that will be listed throughout the day today. Don’t make a final decision until you have seen all of the listings (there will be several). Once you have seen all of the listings, decide which prize you would like if you are the winner. I will let you know when all of the prizes are listed….you have several to choose from. I notify you when I am finished posting prizes.
7. Feel free to ask me questions about the prizes prior to your selection, but I will try to be very thorough. Please ask me questions on this thread, and not the “prize thread” so it doesn’t take forever to go through the prize thread to see the listings.
8. Once you have looked at all of the prizes, choose the one that you would like to win, if you have the winning number. They will be numbered and named, ie (example only)…… item #14 – 8mm CW Flanders Interlap stone, etc.
9. When you have picked your prize, post your chosen number AND the item number and description….. Example: I choose the # 50 and I want item # 14 – 8mm CW Flanders. BTW, the number is NOT #50, as I am going to use that as an example, so DO NOT CHOOSE the # 50!
10. The winner will be the person who chooses the number on the nose. I will NOT stop the contest until the end, even if someone gets the number, as that would ruin all of the fun. If no one gets the number on the head, then the closest number wins…..ie, if the number is 50 (it’s not) and no one picks #50, but someone picks 49 they are the winner, and if someone picks 49 AND someone picks 51 (and the winning number is 50), then there will be TWO WINNERS!!! If the two winners have chosen the same prize, the person with the lower number (in this case 49) will get their gift choice and the # 51 will have to choose a different prize.
11. Some of the prizes will have more than one item, ie, item # 6 may be two rings or I may list several rings in one item number and you can choose your favorite two.
I hope all of you have fun looking at the prizes and making a choice. Some of the items are currently listed on DB. No one has purchased them so far, but maybe if they are a gift, they might be someone’s first choice. Some of the items may go on DB after the contest or may just be put on ebay. I plan to keep several of the items for possible projects down the road, but they aren’t on the front burner, so if someone picks them….so be it.
There are NO follow up rules to the contest. If you win, you can do whatever you want with the prize….keep it, put it on DB, sell it on ebay…..give it to a friend or loved one! I won’t feel bad if I find out you have decided not to keep the prize. The giveaway is for FUN and I am listing many choices instead of just one, because everyone has such different tastes and needs. Some rings are ready to wear, some are project rings. There will also be several stones; some previously unset interlaps, several natural stones and a beautiful Sahara, so I am hoping that there is something for everyone.
I will add a link to the "prize" thread once I start posting prizes.
Please use this thread for any questions or comments and your number and prize pick, but remember the actual giveaway doesn't start unitil midnight tonight.

Ok, I think I read through everything and from what I understand .... this is the thread to post our number guess and prize pick? Also, am I to understand that you are offering many different prizes but you aren't actually giving them ALL away are you? Only 1 or 2 winners?

Thanks for explaining again! I got it now.  I am on just half dose for my pain meds so things are getting easier to understand but I still need to make sure.
You are such a generous and sweet person for doing this!!

Ok, ladies and gents....times to take a break. I have a couple of more listings and then I think I am done.
I will post the remaining few items a little later in the day (as I just got a phone call from DH and he is on his way home). Of all the days for him to get called in on day shift - sheesh!
If you have any questions or comments about any of the giveaway items or need clarification on the rules, please post on this thread and I will get back to you ASAP. Remember, you can pick your number and item any time from midnight on for the next week, so you don't have to decide today.... It is only first come first served on your actual number between one and one hundred..... PLEASE DON'T PICK 50!
