Most of the natural yellow sapphires that I have seen are much deeper in color than the light yellow interlaps, but from the site that merricks_girl posted, they come in all colors.

If the stone is small, to me they look like a diamond with a bit of color - down the color scale, but before you get to the fancy canaries. If they are large, then they probably would more likely pass as a colored gem. Just my opinion.

I have a ring coming from Wink (waiting, waiting) that is an antique looking three stone ring that will have ly OECs (not too big). I am hoping it looks like an antique ring with older diamonds when it is finished. I won't get it until Sept. but I will post lots of pics when I do.

I'm looking at something bigger like 2ct or so.

This is a 2ct LY OEC and I think it looks like an old diamond.

It sure does, Casey! I brought it to my jeweler to have that guard put on. He actually had to loupe it! He said he has never seen a CZ with that color and cut before. I told him it was an LY OEC. He even asked me if I was sure that it wasn't a real diamond! He said you can never be too sure you know! So, YES! It certainly can!

I think they can pass for a diamond (sparkles a little too much for other stones but many people would not know the difference).

On a side note- There are two shades of light yellow. One looks like a really warm diamond (lightest yellow) and one can pass as a lemony light fancy yellow diamond (light yellow). Im not sure which one is listed on Wink's site but both will pass for diamond (depending on the diamond you are trying to imitate).

Just a question - do both of these still exist? I know that only light yellow is currently listed on Wink's site, yet I've heard other people mention lightest yellow. Is it special order colour?

You can get them to get both for you. I am not sure if the light yellow on the site is the lighter one or the darker one... They have more shapes and colors than what is on the online order page.
