This reminds me...my fiance was a single dad (completely - "mom" abandoned the family, piece of poo that she is) and went through his fair share of things like this...one of my favorites is when his son was about three and having a meltdown in Target. FH was holding him and decided to cut the trip short and his son started screaming "STOP - I DON'T KNOW YOU!" ..... $\:o$ Even more alarmingly, nobody did anything or came over to question FH! $;\)$

Dh said a few people noticed but no one came around to see what was happening, he said he was a little worried since I carry around the health id cards --but they came home safe and sound. Luckily most of our temper tantrems with 5 and 2 year old happen at home, no witnesses!!
