I have an engagement ring... had it for 17 years! It is a .31 diamond, probably about an "M" color... Now that I've found sims, I'm so interested in getting something bigger.

It would be in the Tiffany Classic from BTD, since that's what I had before and I have a skinny YG matching wedding band.

I'm considering the RB in a .5 or .75, or an oval, or a CC princess, and maybe cushion, maybe pear. Probably nothing bigger than 1.25ct size, preferably smaller.

My problem with picking something is I want it to look believable, and I like warm stones. I'd get light yellow if they came in that color!

I also don't know what would look good in the Classic. Sometimes I feel the stone sits kind of high up for my taste, but maybe with a bigger stone than the one I have it would look better.

Any suggestions or pics to help me?

Which stones are warmest? Which would look good in the Classic?

Thanks!

i'm not sure, but i read somewhere that the oval was pretty warm. H maybe? i know the cushions are a nice steely H color.

Hello, you have come to the right place...all of us love sparklies...

I prefer the ASHA as the amorphous diamond coating makes such a difference!

BTD does sell the Canary yellow round, emerald cut and asscher....the round is in a one carat size...here is the page for that one..that would be lovely in the Tiffany..

Whatever you decide, just keep in mind that the knowledge that we have on the boards in not remotely what the general public knows....so whatever you decide on choosing, just enjoy the process and do not choose something based on other's opinions.

Welcome to the boards!

I vote round for believability and it will look very nice in a nice classic setting. \:\)

Thanks so much for the warm welcome! I have been lurking here for a couple of months and driving my dh crazy by showing him pics of rings!

I will check out the link provided, thank you Wench.

One thing I don't understand is why the Asha rounds cost more than the other shapes. Are they just harder to cut?

I'm interested in the version 6 Ashas for sounding like they are the most diamond-like, but I think I would like the size of the .75ct if I go with a round...

And Blingaholic, I am not sure I know what steely means - to me that sounds gray-blue, not warm? I must have the wrong visual image.

Thank you again for all the friendly comments!
Mel

Hi Mel...mel-do, that's cute!

If I were you, I would consider the 1ct round...they actually look smaller than a full carat to me. But a .75ct would pass the test for SURE! \:\) Totally believable. \:\)

Think of mercury, when we state steely..but like if you had a glass of water and used an eye dropper to drop a couple of drops of mercury......does that make more sense?
