I like the old setting better. I know, Mrs. Mike. It looks Art Deco-ish to me and a bit busy for me. The old mounting is much more classic. But doesn't it look beautiful unmounted? My hands would've been shaking holding that diamond! Probably would've fallen over in my chair and crushed it. Can you imagine?
