I've been in love with an antique ring that I stumbled upon a couple months ago, but it's waaay out of our budget. I don't know why I never thought of posting pics, because maybe you have seen something similar or can suggest someone who can replicate it! I would probably set a 7mm or 7.5mm OEC in it and I would prefer for the center stone to be lower set, but I LOVE this ring!
Description: "This original art deco ring contains 1 old european cut diamond weighing approximately 1.15 carats with approximate E-F color and SI1-Si2 clarity. This original vintage diamond sits high in a 4 prong mounting, surrounded by 12 single cut diamonds. Please notice the gorgeous original hand made filigree workmanship." Oh yes yes yes, I notice! Sorry for the huge pics, but I wanted you to see the detailing...

That is gorgeous. Have you seen Kim Wheelings settings? He may be able to make a similar setting for you.

The doggie is 10K. I sent an email to the jeweler to ask how much the setting is without the center stone. I don't know if they will even let me buy just the setting, but it never hurts to ask! I also contacted 5th avenue bargains and Leigh Jay Nacht to see if either of them can make a similiar setting. I'm waiting for all their answers... I swear, when I found this ring it started singing to me!
Maybe I can squeeze in a couple blue sapphires on the side, because I have to have them as accent stones somewhere. I'll worry about that later, though.

when a ring sings to you, that's hard to ignore! i've got a couple that i had to have, because i couldn't get 'em out of my head. thankfully, for my bank account, the most expensive of the lot was $485

did you see this ring: http://www.jewelryrings.com/Setting-M14.html it isn't identical, but... worth looking at!
