Thanks for your response!! The more I'm looking the more it seems like the wedding band that is made to match the ring by http://www.betterthandiamonds.com is probably the best option. I'm still going to wait to the ering and then really decide what wedding band I want. It does help that my fiance doesn't want a complicated band.... just a band of platinum... more sparkles for me!! I just wanted to make sure that I was picking something that could hold up for a long time.

Hi,

Thanks for the thoughts of WG vs. pallidium. I happen to turn white gold back to gold or actually green in a matter of weeks. I really cannot wear it often. I live near Philly and there are a ton of jewelers that work in pallidium or platinum. I may just decide to go with platinum. For me thats a concerns but not as much as getting the most realistic center stone.
I love that you can wear your ring to play with your dogs. I have a special needs 6lb pup who has a tendency to try to chew on anything on my hands/wrists. She's already attempted to chew on my rings now so I don't want to take any chances. I just take all jewelery off when I'm home to be on the safe side. I don't garden (I tend to kill plants!).... and my work involves writing and working on the computer so I shouldn't be too tough on my rings!
I'm not trying to decide on some dangly large earrings or a large pendant for my wedding. We're getting married in Jamaica on the beach 1/2/11 on a beach cliff at sunset. I want to sparkle all over. I VERY busty so I need a large pendant or it just makes me look lopsided.
I think I'm ordering the ring in the next week or two..... too excited to wait much longer!!

=) Next insane question. Of course I want the most realistic ASHA..... do you think the hearts and arrow round cut or the OEC is the most realistic?? Is there a cut that is even more impressive and realistic?

Have any of you, that own ASHAs, had a jeweler think your stone was a diamond?? (I'm not trying to trick jewelers..... just curious on the realistic nature). Planning on ordering next Friday!!

When I first got my asha and took it to a jeweler, I obviously had to tell him it was a CZ for him to set it in my mounting. He ended up scratching the stone a little bit.
Then I had it cleaned at a local jewelers and the sales associate (not a bench or anything) gasped and said "oh no! Your diamond has a scratch!"

The point being that they didn't question at all that it was a real diamond.

(second point - only have a board jeweler set your asha stone!)

Thanks for the info! I'm only letting betterthandiamond set the asha as I'm buying the entire ring from them. Right now I'm debating whether or not to keep all of the natural diamonds in the wedding band or have some of the pink sapphires set in the band.... there are just too many beautiful choices!! And I only have ten fingers.....

I know! And that's why you'll end up with more than one ring over the years!

Can't wait to see what you pick!

Me too. I'm awaiting my rings. An eternity e-ring and eternity band. I am very excited.

I also have had great communication with Moissaniteco.com. I have had live chats and emails. The emails answered all my questions. I have done so much reading I hope I only asked good questions. I would recommend them. Easy to deal with.

I too have ordered Palladium because I like patina and the fact I don't have to rhodium it. I live in Australia and I don't know of jewellers working with it yet. Last year I had a real diamond oval solitaire ring set in platinum. Had I known I would have been happy with asha or moissanite in palladium and saved a fortune.

"for the eternity band i'd say moissy \:\) they seem to sparkle beautifully even when a little dirty".

Thank you for this explanation. Have been thinking on getting an eternity from Asha, but would now go for Mossy and get a coloured bigger stone from Asha.
