So!!!!!!

I received an A on my mid term grade.. All of my 8 papers for the class were either A's or A+ and hubby is so proud that he has decided to get my ring next week instead of Christmas. I thought I wanted the ACC but I'm not a fan of the big culets!!! So I found the Natasha Halo and I am in love!!!

Just wondering if anyone has any pics of a Hearts & Arrows stone in F color. or of an OEC? or if anyone can point me to posts about either. It is a bit difficult to use the search area.

Would you guys go with the OEC or the Round H&A?

I'm asking because the OEC is cheaper than the R&A and I'm wondering what the difference is.

I want to get the perfect ring and now that the time has come, I am more confused than EVER!

Please HELP!!!

Congrats on getting an A!!

I don't have time to pull pics since I'm currently at work, but I wanted to give you a heads up that the OEC has an open culet and it's a warmer color than the H&A. Personally, I don't mind the culet on the OEC, but I'm not sure if I like it on the ACC. That's just my opinion, though!

I think the H&A is very pretty, but I want something a little different, so I'm planning on getting an OEC. Plus, I'm getting an antique setting and I love the big flashes of light. <3 Both are very lovely stones, though!

Heck yeah, I LOVE this ring, which is very similar: Bella setting. <3 I would totally put an OEC in that baby, but either one will look stunning! Geez, I am no help at all, lol!

What size center stone do you want?

No, you are great help! It's just a tough decision! lol. Well, the OEC does not come in 1.25 so I would go with a 1.0 if I decide to go with that cut.. And the H&A would be a 1.25. I just found a post where someone was saying that they prefer the F color H&A cut so I pm'ed her and asked if it is possible to send me pictures. We will see! But yes, the OEC is AMAZING!!!

Oh mannn, you are just like me! \:D I thought the 1.25ct would be *perfect* so I was completely stressed that the Asha OEC didn't come in that size. Then I went to a jewelry store and fell in love with the 1.5ct (although that would never be realistic budget-wise, shh!). Anyway, the current antique setting that I'm drooling over will only fit up to a 1.25ct so now I'm back to the same dilema as you, hehe.

My solution will probably be to buy one of Wink's OEC's... they come in a 7mm size and different colors. If Asha ever makes the 7mm OEC then I might switch it out in the future. ;\)

I agree! The 1.5 would definitely not be realistic on my budget and I don't want to cause a scene!!! I just want something simple!! Yes, I hear Wink's are great! I know this is only my first in a series of many rings!!!

Can't wait to see pictures!!!!!!

First, congrats on your A's!!

6th post down has my asha F color H&A next to my asha H color H&A -

Here are pics of the asha OEC, it's the loose one -

As for whether someone would choose on or the other, that is subjective as both are different cuts. OECs are antique cuts and are gorgeous when set in vintage, edwardian, or antique settings. RBs are just as attractive and are usually viewed as a modern cut. Go with what appeals to your eyes and heart.

Congratulations!

Firstly, I have an 8mm ACC and the culet is definitely not large, however I think the new batch might be bigger.

I also have an OEC and will definitely give it a thumbs-up. The stone is beautiful, and is, in my opinion, one of the finer cuts. But, as others have pointed out, you must choose the stone that appeals to you and that makes you happy.

Best of luck with your choice, and I can't wait to see the pics! ;\)

The 1.5 would definitely not be realistic on my budget and I don't want to cause a scene!!!

think hardship sail if your forced to buy 1.5 that ought to calm the scenes the meanspirited might cause.

I hear Wink's are great!

I have 2 Ashas, 1 set 8mm ACC V6, one loose 8mm V5 cushion and 2 Interlap (Wink) I set 7.5 mm chushion [faning self[ 1Ct 7.5mm emerald loose

I recently purchased a mounted interlap DB and i want to say OMG!!! it is gorgeous! I originaly wanted to change the stone/head. Now that I've seen it...I might keep it. the head is a too high for me, but the octet head is supurb and the stone is simply perfect!

My E ring is an 8mm/3 Ct Asha (I wanted a 2 Ct) If only the Asha had had had this cut...i'd have been perfectly happy.
