I have 5 friends from high school that have been best friends forever, (none of them ever moved more than 100 miles from my home town) that all got the same tatoo on the top - off to one side of their foot (kind of a "we'll be friends forever" thing that has a special meaning to them) a few years ago. One of their sons does tatoos and did it for them. It's not very big, but they all got one and when I saw them, they all looked fine.
Do you know anyone personally that has one on their foot? Maybe you could go to the same person if they are pleased with it.

I am trying to think if I know someone with a foot tat. I did give birth twice but had a epidural both times. Still, it was painful! I think after the birth can be more painful actually. I had a c-section and natural and they both were very uncomfortable.

I've got the tops of both of my feet done, and I'm thinking of doing some type of design around them and maybe up towards my ankles..like the cool henna designs. The only part that hurt was when he went over to the side, like off the very top and towards the inside of the foot. It wasn't screaming pain or anything..just uncomfortable. The weird thing I noticed about having my feet done was that it makes the muscles in your legs twitch!
My most painful by FAR was around my arm-the skin on the underside of your upper arm is so thin. But, again, it wasn't something that I wouldn't do again. Actually, while I was getting it, I was laying in the chair w/my arm up, and a guy I'd worked w/ came in and we had this whole long conversation-blah blah, just like normal. Later that evening I saw him at the bar and he's like OMG that fricken HURT and you were just talking like you always do, how could you stand it?? It was his first tattoo-a little one..and I just smiled. hehehe
I have one on the back of my shoulder too, and it's actually my favorite. It's like a little surprise when it's shown.
It's way less painful, these tattoos, than having kids Lyta! I had 2 c-sections and a hernia repair, and I would totally lay and be tattooed for hours rather than go thru those surgeries again!

I have a tattoo on the top of my foot, ankle, and lower back and trying to find more places to put future projects. Lol. The one on my foot didn't hurt the only thing that was a pain is when I wore socks and sneakers and the tattoo itched like crazy while it was healing! Lol

How weird. I always thought the top of the foot would be painful since there is very little skin covering the bone.

It's ok Allison, I have a tramp stamp too! It was one I designed myself of dolphins and the ocean with blues, purples, pinks and greens. It's not a large one, but I love it. I picked the lower back because I wanted something that was special to me, but was easily hidden. I never even knew the term "tramp stamp" until AFTER I had it done. But, I figured at my age, who cares
