Our Amara� shell
pearls are made by man using a similar center bead
as used in cultured pearls, and then coated in a manner
similar to how the oyster coats a cultured pearl, with
over 20 layers of nacre made using crushed oyster
shells. The result - an organic, man-made pearl
that rivals the finest natural Tahitian black pearls, at
1% of the price. In fact, we've been told our
Amara� Tahitian black shell pearls are in fact more beautiful than
most real Tahitian blacks by people in the pearl
trade.
